Stories
I would recommend The Verdant Ones if you are not sure where to start. If you want something lighthearted, then Firefly Music and Chillin’ with Sylveon are good choices.
Original Stories
- A Final Stillness—At last, all is still. Like Earth at Peace, but simpler and not tied to any canon.
- The Verdant Ones—Ren occupies a coyote’s body, but he’s never felt like one.
- Fenna—A human spends six months in the company of a plant.
Resting Place Canon
These PMD stories take place in an original setting and feature a consistent set of characters, including the iconic leafeon Poppy. Each story can be read on its own.
- Resting Place—After a peaceful near-death experience, Poppy is thrust back out into the real world and forced to reevaluate her life. This story offers a different interpretation of major characters than others in this canon and is only very loosely connected to them.
- Those Who Will Inherit the Earth—A series of unforeseen events results in a struggle for the sanctity of the planet.
- Earth at Peace—Short, standalone, atmospheric piece that takes place sometime after the events of Those Who Will Inherit the Earth.
- Beyond Rescue—Poppy makes the world a little safer. Takes place before Those Who Will Inherit the Earth and stands on its own.
